On  this card  I  tried  some  new  techniques  and  got out  my  mica  powders  which  I  rarely  use .

I  dry embossed  the  background  card  using  a freebie butterfly  embossing  folder  .I  did  the  same  with  the  white  card  and sprayed  both  with  CC  Spray  and  Sparkle  (irridescent )
I  wanted  a different  effect  for  the  top  black  card  and  decided  to use  a  cheap pen  type  spray  I had  bought  at  a  show  .At first  I  tried it out of  glossy  card  but  found  the  mica  would not  dry  at all ,I  retried it on dull  paper  and  this  gave  a  good  effect  and  I  added Jones  Tones  irridescent  glitter  .  I  fussy  cut  two  dragonflies  after  stamping  Sheena  Douglas  dragonfly and  using black  embossing  powder .  I used mica  paints  to  colour  them  (the  photo  doesnt  do  the  colour or irridescence  justice  .} When  dry  I  was  able  to  add  promarkers  .Unfortunately  I  discovered  it  wasn't  a good idea to use  Mica  in  the  spray  as  later when  I  tried  to use it  the  mica  had  blocked  the nozzle  and  tube  !!! A  lesson  learnt  .

I  experimented  with  the  background of this  card  using  mica paint  and  CC  spray  and  sparkle  to  give  a  mottled  effect  . The  bauble  was made using  3  diecuts  stuck together  and  glittered  .I  coloured  the  top  with  gilding  wax  .The  tree  branch is  a  Marianne  Pine  Branch  die  .

I  just love  this  stamp  by  LC  designs  .It is  Dinky  girl  with  wellies  and  since  I  got it  I have  coloured it in  various  shades  , 
The  background  paper  for  this  card  comes  from LOTV  Romance  and  Roses  paper pad  . I  coloured  the  stamp  and  octagon  with  promarkers  .  The  bunting  stamps  are  also  from  LC  Designs  (so  useful  with  letters  and  numbers on  !)
The only  embellishments  that  I  added are  Bakers  rwine  and  card  candi  as I  wanted  this one  to  be  a C and S card .

I  wanted  to  get  a hazy  and  frosty  effect on  this  card  so  I  designed  an outdoor  sceneon Serif  for  behind  this  window  ,  The  window  frame is  a  cricut  cut  covered  with  silver  ink  .I  added  acetate and snow  and  frost  using  flowersoft  white  pen  and  snowtext  .  The  wallpaper  background  is  from  LOTV paper pad  and  the stamp is  also  from  LOTV, I  coloured  this  with  Promarkers

I  wanted  to  try  out  a  couple of  embossing  techniques  on  this  card  and  managed  to  get  dry embossing   and  embossing  powder  on it  .
I began  by using  gilding  wax  around  the edge of  the  base  card.  The  bsckground  card  was  dry  embossed  in  red  with  a  trellis  embossing  folder  , I used  LOTV paper  which  sanded  well .  The  gold  card  was dry  embossed using  a freebie  heart  embossing  folder.
I  cut  the I love you  shape  with  a  cricut  cartridge  and  I  added  red ink  to it  and  clear  embossing  powder
The  embellishments  are  heart  shaped  dazzler  coated in  glitter,  heart  embellishment  from  Crafty  Bitz  and  Liquid  pearls in  white   around the  heart .

My old  friend  has  a  new  grandson  on  Friday  so  I  wanted to  make   a  card  for  the  baby  .  Unfortunately  I  don't  know  his  name yet  so  I left  room on  the  card  for  a name  later .

I used  a  lace  card  base  card  and  added  blue  gingham  on  the  front  and  a  band inside  , I die  cut  a  circle  and  stamped  a sentiment  from  LC  designs  ,  The  stamp is from  \\\\\\lotv and  \I  coloured it  with  promarkers and  added  glitter  and  Glossy  accents  . The  A  special  day  sentiment  is  also  from  LOTV  and is  called calendar  .
The embellishments  that I  added  are  organza  its  a boy  ribbon , card  candi  in blue  and  white  dots.peel offs , and  a  heart  embellishment  from  my  stash  .  I  will  add  silver  letters  when I know  the  baby's  name  .

I  really  enjoyed making  this  project ,I  was  able  to use  some  cds I hadn't looked  at  for  ages  and  rediscover  some  embellishments  .

The  basic  shop  comes  from My  Craft  Studio   Shops  cd  but  I  adapted  it  a lot  and used  a digi  so  that Icould  colour  it  in  colours of  my  own  choice  .I have it in mind  to give  to  a  friend  who  cannot pass  a fashion  shop by  . Perhaps  she  would like  to  shop in JeniMc's.
I printed papers  for  the  awning  and walls  and  die  cut  some ivy  from  my  cricut  to  fill  the  planter  .
The  hat  was  made  from   a  punch and  the  stand  an  embellishment  from  my  stash  . I  coloured  the  dresses  and  added  stickles  and  bows  .I used  acetate  for  the  windows  so  the interior  could be  seen  .

We  are  beginning  to  see  daffodils  and  primulas  in  the  shops  and  gardens  which  adds  some  colour  to  the  dreary  weather  that we have been  experiencing  ,

Recently  I  got  some  new  serif  digikits  and  designed  this  background  with them,  I also used

I  think  I need  a new  camera  as  this  photo  doesn't  do  the  glitter  justice  .In  this  cold  weather I  saw the  birds  searching  for  food  which  prompted  me to  leave  some  for them  .  It isnt  so  long  ago  in  the mild weather  they  were  beginning  the  dawn  chorus  .  How  confusing  it  must be  for  them .  It  was  this  that  decided  me to  make  this  card  .
  I  used several  different types  of  glitter  on this  card  .Fluffy  stuff,  flowersoft  white  ,Fine  glitter   cosmic  shimmer  snow and  stickles  .
I  coloured  the  base  card  with  cosmic  shimmer paint  and  added  a white  sparkly  moon  .  I  added  the  Cricut lattice fence  from  Paper  Lace  cartridge  and  covered with  snow  and  CC  spray  and  sparkle  . The ivy  is  from  a  die  cut  and  I  coloured it  with  promarkers  and more  snow  glitter  ,
The  birds  and  tree I  printed from  a Serif  digi  kit  ,cut  each out  and  added  glossy  accents to  each  .
I  added  a  wooden  bird  house and    a computer  generated  sentiment  .

Another LOTV stamp  I have had from  last year is  this one, it  is  Pancake  day  . I coloured it  with promarkers   I matched  the  die  cut  shapes  to  the  base  card  and  added  some  background paper  that  I  dry  embossed.
I  added  a  darker  layer behind  the  die  cut  shape  from Nestabilities  Majestic labels .
To  complete  the  card  I  added  some  computer  generated sentiments  using  Letraset  Safmat  .

I love this policeman  stamp from LOTV which  I coloured  with  promarkers..I used  a  die  cut  from  Craft  stash and  matted  it  with  some  kraft  card  embossed  with  a Darice  brick  embossing  folder . I  wanted to use  some of my  stamps  that  are hidden away  and chose this one ,It is  LOTVs  Cobweb  and I coloured it  with  Promarkers  ,stickles  and  liquid  pearls  .  I  also  used Jones tones  irridescent glitter on  the fairy  wings  , I  layered  the  stamp  with a  die  cut  and  added more sparkle  within  the  hearts  . I  think  children's  cards  are my  favourite  to  make  .There  are so many  lovely  papers  and  embellishments  to  buy .  After  edging  the  base  card  with  promarkers  I  used  background papers  from  my  stash  .  The  die  cut  is  using a  Spellbinders die  and  I  sprayed  the  papers  with  CC  Spray  and  shine .
The  stamp is  from  LOTV 'Rocking  Horse ' .I  experimented  with the blender  Promarker pen  and  was pleased  with the  spots on  the horse  and  the gingham  pattern on  the  babygro  !
I  added  some  alphabet  buttons  as the background paper has  letters on it  .  A  peel off  sentiment  completed  the card  .

On  this  card  I have used  three new things  ,The  first is  the black magic  card  from Pennies  worth  .Once  embossed  It is  sandpapered  and all  these  magic  colours  appear  .  The  stamp  has  also been used  for the first  time . It is  from  L.C.  designs  'Sweetest  Wishes  'I  stamped  this onto  a  Spellbinders  regal  ovals  4  die  cut  and coloured it  with  Promarkers  . The  third  new  tool  is  the  Martha Stewart  border punch  to  which I added gold  gilding  wax . When I  was at the  NEC I  bought  a goody  bag from Create  and  Craft  .  It had  two  border punches  by  M.S. amongst  the other goodies  but  no  main base  plate  which limited it  a  bit  .  I  managed to  buy  one  this  weekend  and it  came  with  another  design..I  got it  today  so  had  to use  it  straightaway .I  need to  read  the  instructions  again  before  attempting  frames  I think !
I  added  some  multicoloured  trimming  to  blend  with the  background .

I  seem  to  be in  a blue mood  today  so  here is  another one !!
I  added  gingham  card  for  the background and  used  some papers and  designs   from Serif  for  the  foreground  Then  I  added  glitter  and  glossy  accents  .

I  love using  this  digi  robins  stamp  from  L.C.  designs  and have used it  a lot  this  Christmas  .  I  paired it on this  card  with  another  Snowman  stamp  from L.C. 
I  embossed  the  base  card  and  cut out a  fence from  a  background paper  to use  with  the  snow .  I  added  extra  snow  using  white  flower  soft  ,The  sentiment  was  also  a  sramp from  L.C. 

It  feels  very  cold  here  today  I hope  we  are  not in  for  a  flurry  of  snow  like  these poor  robins  !!

I have had  these  circular cards for  ages  and  decided  to use  one of  them  for  this  card  . 
I began  by  dry  embossing the  base  card  with  a union jack  folder  and  using  panpastels to  colour it.
The  foreground is   red glitter  card  and L.C.ombre  paper  with  a  digi of  the  palace  from  Serif  digikit  'London Landmarks  .'
The  stamp is  LOTV  Soldier  and  is  coloured  with  promarkers  and  finished with  glossy accents  .A  sentiment  from my  stash and  a Papermania  bow  completes  the  card  .  I made this  especially  for  a  little boy  who  likes pretending  to  be  a  soldier  .

In  view  of  the  dreadful  rain  we  are  experiencing in  the  U.K .It  seems hard  to  imagine  that  Spring is  in  the  air  but  we  muxt  be  positive  and  realise  it is  really  . 
I used  a background paper  by  Robert  Adams  .I  designed  the  foreground on  Serif  and  added  glossy  accents  for  the  rain .The  boots  are  a  digi from L.C. called Digi  Wellies . I coloured  that  and  the  umbrella  digi  with  promarkers  and  added  stickles  for  a  sparkle  .  The  mud  is  a  sweet  wrapper  which  so  conveniently  found its  way  onto  my  craft  desk  (as  they  do  !!)
I  feel  the  sentiment  finishes  the  card off  .

I love making  black  and  white  monochrome  cards  and  I  enjoyed  using  these  materials  to  make  a  different sort of  wedding  card  ,


I used a   Basic  ornate  card  and  covered it  with  some  beautiful  organza  material  that  I bought  at  a  craft  show  (see  close up  picture ) .
I cut  a  spellbinder  shape  and  used  a  snowflake embossing  folder on it   .I  sandpapered it  and  added  Liquid pearls  dots . 
The  stamp is  LOTV  Bride  and  Groom .  I  covered her  dress  with the  same material  and  added Liquid pearls  .The  stamp  was  coloured with  promarkers .

The  digi  on  my card is  from  L.C.  to which  I  added  some  place  names, to suit  the  person  who is moving  house,  before printing  .This  was  shaded  with  promarkers 
For  the  background  I used  two  textured papers  from my  stash .

This  was  a  freebie  stamp  from  a Magazine  which  came with  the  embossing  folder  that  I have used .  I got it in  December  and  it has  been on my  desk  over  Christmas  as  the  first  thing  I  wanted  to  do  .  At last  I have  used it  . 
I  edged  the  scalloped  base  card  with  Promarkers  and  also  spent  some  time trying out  hair  and  fur  techniques on  the stamped  image  .  I  found  papers  to  match  and used  Panpastels  to  create  a  background  which  I surrounded  with  a  die  cut  circle  edge  coloured  again with  P  Markers  ,
The embellishments that  I  used  are  die  cut  leaves  ,material flower,pearl,trimming and sentiment from  my  stash  .

I  realised  as  I  got  to  the  end of  wrapping  presents that I  needed  more  tags,  so  this is the  first  for  next  year  !!
I  was given  some  colourful  tags  by  a  friend  for  Christmas  so  I  started  with one of those  .  I  used  two  background  papers  and  covered one  side  with  Sparkle  film from  L.C.
I  also  got  a  Sapphire  for  Christmas  which is useful for  producing  small  tags  as  you  work  rather  than  using  the  larger  Grand  Calibur.  The  embellishments  that  I  added  are  Wooden  Christmas tree  with added stickles  ornaments,Hessian bow , Peel off  sentiment and  cord  . I  edged  the  main  tag  with  distress ink.
