I  found  this  button  paper in my  stash  and  worked  the  card  around it  .  The  variety  of  textures  seem  to  work  well  together  especially  the  lace  .  I  thought  I had  lost my  lace  folder  as  I  couldnt  find it  and  wanted  to  find  the  pink  lace  .  I  eventually  found it  on  the  floor under my  table  .I  think  a  clear up is  necessary !!!!

I love  to  see  the pansies  and  violas  at  this time of  year .
I  found  this  sentiment  on   a M.C.S.  cd.  I  reads  'I  would  rather
a  flower on  my  table  than  a  diamond on my  neck !' The image  also  came  from  a  M.C.S.c.d.

I love  gingerbread men  on  Christmas  cards  .They  are  so  versatile  and  I  managed to get  a  few  different types on  this  card  . A  stamped  one ,some  die  cut  ones ,punched  mini  ones  at  each  corner  and  a  plastic one  to  act  as  a  stop  for  the  Easel  card  ..

A couple or  so years  ago  I  was  lucky  enough  to  win  a  box of  goodies  about  Britain  from  a  magazine  competition  .  With  The  Golden  Jubilee  and  the  Olympics  I  was  able  to  make  several  cards  at that  time  . Using  an umbrella  on  a  card  somehow  made  me  think of  sun  and  I  wondered  how I  could  incorporate  sun  and  an umbrella  and  came up  with this  simple  card  .

I used  ---
Green  Base  card and  green  paper  and  peel offs .
The  glass is  made  from Parchment  paper double folded and  hand  embossed  with  bubbles  . 
The  Lime is  hand  drawn  and  coloured with  Promarkers  .
Rather  than  a  stamped  umbrella  I  decided  to use  a  cocktail one  .
The ice  cubes  are acetate  sprayed  with Crafters'  Companion  Spray  and Sparkle  Pearl  Diamond

I played  around  with this card  so much  before  I  was  satisfied  that the  shades  on it  showed  some interest . 

I  began  with  a  Kraft  card  base  which  I   embossed  with  a  Spellbinders  Embossing  Folder  .
This  was  layered  with  a  bronze piece of  card  embossed in the  same  way  .
The  next layer is  a  die  cut With  Spellbinders Nestabilities  Majestic Labels  !  which  was  edged  with  Gilding  Wax  ,
The  Bicycle  stamp  is  Little  Claire's  Dinkie  Bicycle  stamp  stamped on  a  design  created on  M.C.S.

Recently  I  looked  through  the  charms  I have  collected  over  the  years  .  As I  seemed  to have  a lot of  keys  I  thought  I  would use  those  and  as a male friend   just  moved  house  the  card  fell into  place  and here it is  !!

3 strips of  backing  paper  green  brown  and  gold  . Topped  with  patterned  acetate  from  Hunkydory  .

Various  metal  key  charms  and  wooden  keys all ' sparkled '  with  stickles .I  was  amazed  to  see  how  well  this  worked on  metal  although  the  photo  does  not  show it  well .

I  seem  to  be  doing  several  single  colour  cards  at  the  moment  but  white on  white  is  the  most  difficult  . 
Once  I had  decided on  the  shape  of  the  card  I  was  able  to  vary  the  embossing  folders  and  apply  Pearl  moon  Gilding  wax  to  make  the  embossing  stand out  .

I used  a oval  tent  card  as  the  base  card  embossed  with  3  embossing  folders  from  my stash .

When  I  decided  to  do  this  card  featuring  my  Birthstone ,I  began to  wish  that  I hadn't  been  born  in  April   as my  birthstone is  a  diamond . I  decided  to  give  the  card  some  texture instead of  colour   by  using  embossing  folders  .I  also  used  a fair  amount  of  Crafters  companion  Spray  and  Sparkle  Diamond  Spray.  This  helped  to  create  different  shades of  white on  the  different  papers  .
