I  saw  a  lovely  textured  Shamrock  on  a  challenge  and  decided  to  try  one  myself  .The  finished  article  was  not  nearly  as  impressive  and  reminded me  that  I need  more  embossing  folders  .(Well its  a  good  excuse  to get  more  stash ! )


I used  Base  card  embossed  and  coloured  with  gilding  wax  . I  cut  2  shamrocks using  Scan  n  cut  and  embossed  them  coloured  with  green  gilding  wax  and  sprayed  with  Spray  and  sparkle  . The  embellishments  are  ribbon  dewdrops  and  a sentiment  made using  a  Dymo  marker  machine  .

I  wanted  to  make  a card  that had  a distressed  background  and  decided  black  shiny  card  would  show up  well  .Once  I had  the  background  it  needed  a  totally  monochrome  look  which  I  got  with  some  cut  shapes  .A  different  birth  congrats.  card  for  either girl or  boy  !

I  used 
Black  shiny  card  with  embossolicious  embossing  folder  which  I  then  distressed
Stork  and  special  delivery  cut  from  Cricut  'Nursery  Rhymes  ' Cartridge  .
Both  were  then  wet  embossed  with  clear  sparkle embossing powder  .
Sentiment  - LOTV 'Calendars ' sentiment  stamp  stamped  with  Versamark  and  white  embossing  powder ,

A cute  image needs  good matting and layering  so  I decided to use several layers on the card .Now  it is  not  possible to  take  flowers  to  patients in  hospital  I thought that  I  would  add  the  token  flowers instead   .

I  have made  this  for  a little  girl  called  Phoebe  who is  9  this  weekend  . I  usually  make  fairy  type  cards  for  her  but  decided  that  this year  she is  too  grown up  for  them  so  searched  through 'My  Besties'  cd to  find  something  suitable  . This  image  seemed  to  be just  what  I  needed  and I  wanted  to  make it  stand out  so  used  foam  pads  to  mount it on  and covered  the design  with  glossy  accents  and glitter  .
I  coloured  the image  with  promarkers  and used  backing  papers  that  I  got  as  a  freebie .
With  the  addition  of  washi  tape.,bows ,peel offs  and a  hand  made  sentiment  the  card  was  complete  . I  hope  she  likes  it  !

Yet another Christmas  card  completed  ,what  will  I  do  at  the  end of  the  year ?

A new  challenge  for me  today .I  bought  these boxes  and  thought  I  would  try  to  cover  them in  some  way. I love my  new  fairy  stamps  from  LOTV  and  thought  the  sentiment  was  just  right  for  a little  girl  .

I  thought  this  Hydrangea  stamp  by  LOTV  would  look  right  in  pink  with  an ivory  card and  would  be  suitable  for  a  range  of  occasions  hence  the  sentiment  ,

My daughter in law's  Mother is Irish  so  I  made  this  card  for  her in  readiness  for  next  month .

Both  the  stamp  and  the  digi  on  this  card  are  new  so I  wanted  to  combine  both on  this  card  By  embossing  the  main  card  I  achieved  the  desired  effect  of  brick work  .

I used  --
Embossing  folder  Brick  work  ,I  coloured  this  with  panpastel  both  plain  and metallic  .
LOTV  Stamp  --Bride  and  Groom  which  I  coloured  with  promarkers  .
Little  Claire's  Digi  Stamp  Wedding  window  ,after  colouring  with  promarkers  I  used  glossy  accents to  give  the  shiny  effect of  glass  .
I  added  gold  flower  sprigs  and  added  purple  flowers topped  with  liquid  pearls
Gold  peeloffs  ,sentiment  and  dewdrops complete the card .

Some  new craft items  that I have bought  are  the  collection  of  fairies  and  sentiments  from  LOTV . They  are  delightful  characters  and  I had  to  make  a  card  straightaway   .It is  an  easel  card  and  I  wanted  to  leave it  as  simple  as  possible  .I  thought  the  fairies  would  make  good  charms  so  I  stamped  them onto  shrink  plastic  ,not  forgetting  to  punch  a hole  first  !! I  experimented  with  different  colours of  shrink  plastic  but  white  showed up  the  design best  and  the  end  result  wasnt  too  small as I had  thought it  would  be. 

I  used  --
A square  card  which  I  dry  embossed  .
Various  shaped  borders the  centre  one  being  from  Sue  Wilsons Italian  die  collection  .
Onto  this  I  stamped  the  sentiment  from  LOTV  Fairy  sentiment  sheet and  heat  embossed it .
Fairies  cut  and  coloured  from  LOTV little  fairies set  89.
I  embellished  the  card  with  tiny  gems  and  stars to  create  a  fairy  atmosphere  .
The  shrink  plastic  fairy  was  attached  with  silver  cord  .
I  coloured  a  tiny  peel off  for  the  Birthday  sentiment .

I  have  been  waiting  to  receive  my  ' Pancake  Day' stamp  from  L.O.T.V. since  the  day  they  gave  a blog hop  of  their  new  stamps  .  I  got mine  yesterday and  just had  to use  it  straightaway   as  the  character is  so  cute  .  A 'Pancake  Day '  card is  an unusual  one  but  no  doubt  I  will  find  someone  to  send it  to  . I just  had  to  add  the  extras  needed  to  make  a  good  pancake  !!!! Enjoy   !

Having  completed one  card in  a  different  style  to usual, I  wanted  to  try  a  more  ambitious project  which  included  stamping . Originally  I  intended  it  to  be  just  black  and  white  but  it  was  too  severe  so  the  red  crept in  .

I used  White  and  Red  Mirri  card  ,foiled  acetate  in  silver  all  cut  with  Cricut  Lacy  Labels , all   were  glittered using  CC Spray  and sparkle ( Irridescent).
The top  stamp was  LOTV 'Filigree  Heart ',Coloured with promarkers and  I added  Liqid  pearls .
The  With  love  stamp  was  a  freebie

I  decided  to  get  into  the  Valentine  season  by  cutting  some  hearts out  and  working from  there  and  this  is  the  first  card  I  came  up  with  .I  wanted  the  card  to  match  the  shape  so  chose  a  different  shaped  card  to  my usual  square.  I  embossed  it  to  give  it  some  pattern and used  pearl  moon  gilding  wax  to give it  a shine .The  finished  card  is  quite  different  to  my first  idea! 

I used =
Red  mirri and black  and  white  card  to  cut  out  heart  shapes  and  decoration  using  Cricut  Paper  lace .  I  cut  various  sizes  in order  to matt  and layer  them  .Each  piece  was  sprayed  with  C  Companion  Spray  and  sparkle  .
The  flowers  were  made using  punched petals  glittered  and  formed into  flowers .
The  embellishments  I  used  were  Dewdrops  and  coloured  peel offs  .
